2008 Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Sweepstakes
OFFICIAL RULES

ELIGIBILITY: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. The 2008 Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Sweepstakes (the "Sweepstakes") is open to legal residents of the United States (except Rhode Island, New York, Florida, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands, and all other U.S. and foreign territories and possessions, and excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation), who are 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members and members of the same household) of Texas Rangers Baseball Partners (the "Sponsor"), a promotional sponsor that may be named at a later date, the other MLB Entities and each of their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate. The "MLB Entities" shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. ("MLBAM"), Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc. (doing business in its own name and as Major League Baseball Productions), Tickets.com, Inc., SportsOnEarth, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs, and each of their subsidiaries or affiliated entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Major League Baseball Clubs or the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and the directors, officers and employees of the above entities. Online entrants to the Sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from texasrangers.com however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's consent to receive such e-mails. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

HOW TO ENTER: The Sweepstakes begins at 2:41 PM Central Standard Time (CST) on Monday, March 31, 2008 and ends at 11:59 PM CST on Friday, May 30, 2008 ("Entry Period"). There are three ways to enter: online, in person and by mail. No other method of entry will be accepted. Any incomplete entry forms may be rejected.

1. Online Method: During the Entry Period, go to texasrangers.com and click on the link to launch the online entry form for the 2008 Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Sweepstakes. By submitting your complete name, date of birth, address, city, state, ZIP/postal code, telephone number, mobile phone number (optional) and e-mail address to MLBAM via the online entry form, you will be automatically entered in the Sweepstakes. All information submitted by entrants is subject to MLB.com's Privacy Policy accessible at: www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/mlb/help/mlb_help_about_privacy.jsp. Entrants must complete all non-optional data requested on the online entry form. Incomplete entries are void. Limit 500 online entries per person for the Entry Period.


2. In-Person Method: Fans may enter the Sweepstakes by printing their name, address, city, state, zip code, day & evening telephone number, and email address (optional) on a standard size postcard and dropping it off in person Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the 4th floor of the office building located near center field of Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, located at 1000 Ballpark Way, Arlington, Texas 76011. In-person entries must be received by the Sponsor by May 30, 2008. Fans may enter more than once, but photocopies will not be accepted. Entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit 500 in-person entries per person for the Entry Period.


3. Mail-in Method: Fans may enter the Sweepstakes by printing their name, address, city, state and zip code, day & evening telephone number and email address (optional) on a standard size postcard. All mail-in entries must be mailed to: Hall of Fame Sweepstakes, 1000 Ballpark Way, Suite 400, Arlington, TX 76011. Fans may enter more than once, but photocopies will not be accepted, and may include only one entry per envelope. Sponsor will only use email addresses provided via the Mail-in entry method for prize notification purposes only; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant's provision of this information. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by May 30, 2008 and received by Sponsor by June 4, 2008. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Limit 500 mail-in entries per person for the Entry Period.

RANDOM DRAWING: The winner of the Sweepstakes (the "Winner") will be selected by random drawing on or about June 6, 2008 from all eligible entries received by the Sponsor or MLBAM, as applicable, whose decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

PRIZE: One (1) Prize Will Be Awarded. Winner will receive the opportunity to throw out a Ceremonial First Pitch prior to a regular season Texas Rangers Sunday through Thursday home game in August or September 2008 (such game to be selected by Sponsor, at its sole discretion), 20 game tickets, $200 in Captain Cash, 20 hats, and 20 t-shirts (collectively, the "Prize"). Game date and ticket location are subject to availability and can be determined at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Estimated retail value of the Prize is $6,500.

The Winner is fully responsible for any and all applicable federal, state, international and local taxes. All costs and expenses not specified herein, related to the Prize, including but not limited to lodging, transportation costs, meals, taxes (including income taxes) and gratuities and other expenses incurred by accepting the prize are the sole responsibility of the Winner. MLB game dates and times are determined in the sole discretion of the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball and/or Sponsor, as applicable, and may be subject to change. The terms and conditions of the tickets awarded as prizes will govern in the event a legal game, as defined by Major League Baseball, is not played due to weather, an act of God, an act of terrorism, civil disturbance or any other reason.

The Prize is non-transferable and non-assignable, with no cash redemptions or substitutions except at Sponsor's sole discretion. The MLB Entities and Sponsor will not be responsible for Acts of God, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster outside their control that may cause the cancellation of MLB games. There will be no substitutions for the Prize except due to unavailability, in which case, a cash prize of equal value to the face value of the Prize will be awarded at the exclusive discretion of the Sponsor.

NOTIFICATION: The Winner will be notified by e-mail and/or telephone by the Sponsor and/or MLBAM, or in the event the Winner entered by regular mail, he or she will be notified by telephone and/or overnight mail by the Sponsor. In the event that the Winner does not respond to any such notification within three (3) days, a disqualification will result and an alternate winner shall be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries. The Winner will receive Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability, which must be completed, notarized and returned within ten (10) days of receipt. A disqualification will result and an alternative winner will be randomly selected from among all remaining eligible entries if the Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability are not properly returned within the specified period of time. Refusal or return of Sponsor's Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability as non-deliverable will also result in disqualification and cause an alternative winner to be chosen from among all remaining eligible entries.

WAIVER OF LIABILITY/PUBLICITY RELEASE: By participating in the Sweepstakes and submitting an entry, all entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all entry requirements. By entering the Sweepstakes, each Winner agrees to waive any and all claims against the Sponsor, the other MLB Entities and their respective agents and representatives for any injury, damage or loss that may occur from the participation in the Sweepstakes or from the receipt or use of any prize or travel related to the receipt or use of any prize, and each Winner grants to Sponsor and MLBAM the right to publicize such Winner's name and/or likeness in any medium without additional compensation or consideration unless prohibited by law.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: The Sponsor, the other MLB Entities and their agents and representatives are not responsible for printing or typographical errors in any Sweepstakes-related materials; stolen, late or misdirected entries, lost, damaged, garbled, delayed, misdirected, damaged, incomplete, postage due or illegible entries. Sweepstakes entries generated by a script, macro or other mechanical or automated means will be disqualified. The Sponsor, the other MLB Entities and their respective agents and representatives are not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate transcription or loss or delay of entry or prize reply information, or any viruses transmitted to computers of participants via the Internet, or for any technical or human errors associated with the Sweepstakes. If, in the Sponsor's exclusive judgment, this promotion becomes compromised in any way, Sponsor reserves the right to withdraw the promotion offer, cancel any method of entry, to void any entries submitted fraudulently or select winners from all eligible entries received prior to act that compromised the promotion.

Any attempt to deliberately damage the content or operation of this Sweepstakes is unlawful and subject to legal action by the Sponsor, the other MLB Entities or their agents. Sponsor and MLBAM shall have the sole right to disqualify any contestant for violation of these Official Rules or any applicable laws relating to the Sweepstakes, and to resolve all disputes in their sole discretion. Sponsor and the other MLB Entities (i) make no warranty, guaranty or representation of any kind concerning any prize, and (ii) disclaim any implied warranty. All disputes will be resolved under applicable U.S. laws in the County of New York, state of New York.

Sponsor and the other MLB Entities reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel or suspend the Sweepstakes should virus, bugs, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor or the other MLB Entities corrupt administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper operation of the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor may elect to identify winners and award the prizes by way of random drawing from among all entrants who had entered the Sweepstakes at the time of such cancellations.

All online entries must include a valid e-mail address for the entrant. In case of multiple entries, only the first entry received will be considered. In the event of dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the "Authorized Account Holder" of the e-mail address submitted at the time of the entry. The "Authorized Account Holder" is the person to whom the applicable Internet service provider or other organization (such as business or educational institution) has assigned the e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.

WINNER'S LIST: For a list of the winner, mail a self-addressed stamped envelope to: Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Sweepstakes, 1000 Ballpark Way, Suite 400, Arlington, TX 76011. Winner's list requests must be made by June 30, 2008.
