The Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame will honor players, managers, coaches, executives and broadcasters for outstanding performance and service with the organization. Fans will select up to three players for induction in 2005 with the final number to be determined by percentage of votes received. The media committee will also select one non-player (manager, coach, executive, broadcaster) for induction in 2005.

All players who have appeared in at least one game for the Texas Rangers are eligible for selection, provided they have been retired for at least two full seasons as an active player. A committee of Dallas-Fort Worth writers and broadcasters who have covered the Rangers for a minimum of ten years selected the nominees for the ballot.
