Baseball As America
If you’ve ever “played hardball” in a business meeting, or given a “ballpark estimate,” you know that baseball is ingrained in American culture. The Baseball As America exhibit, open from Sept. 28, 2007 through Jan. 13, 2008 at Dallas’ Museum of Science and Nature, explores that confluence. View exhibits from the Baseball Hall of Fame that demonstrate the game’s unique position in our national life. This exhibition was organized by The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Cooperstown, NY.

socio-economic neighborhoods a place to play baseball.

the following locations: Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark
(River Oaks), Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark (Dallas), Juan
Gonzalez Texas Rangers Youth Ballpark (Oak Cliff), Johnny

Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show
Spectacular for the fourth consecutive year. The Triple
Play event, held May 6 at the Hilton Anatole hotel in Dallas,
attracted more than 600 fans and raised nearly $400,000 for
charity.
The event, chaired by Mark and Leigh Teixeira, along with
Josh and Dana Lewin and the Hicks Family, featured a Hollywood
Oscar party theme with dinner, live and silent auctions. New
this year Rangers third baseman Hank Blalock and catcher
Gerald Laird competed in the Rangers version of

America with the secret ingredient being pasta. The food
was judged by
Dallas Morning News beat writer Evan Grant,

Laird was named top chef! Several other Rangers players
competed in some of America’s favorite game shows, including
Fielders Feud, based on the popular TV game show
Family Feud,
and a game styled after
Hollywood Squares. Proceeds from the
event will benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
