Fundraising & Special Events

Throughout the year, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation raises funds through special events, in-game auctions, corporate donations, and the newly-created Foundation membership program. It is through their generosity that the Foundation is able to continue to make a positive difference within our community.



PARK PLACE DEALERSHIPS TEXAS RANGERS TRIPLE PLAY GAME SHOW SPECTACULAR

Josh Hamilton and David Murphy Each year, the Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular is the highlighted fundraiser for the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. In 2011, the ninth annual Park Place Dealerships Texas Rangers Triple Play Game Show Spectacular was held on May 25, at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas. Featuring a 1920's theme, the event featured the annual battle between the Infielders and Outfielders in Fielder's Feud and Rangers pitchers and catchers faced off in A Minute to Win It.

The evening's live and silent auction offerings included a trip on the team plane, a baseball filled trip to Chicago, and many more. The event raised nearly $540,000. Since its inception, the Triple Play event has raised more than $1.8 million for the Foundation thanks to signature sponsors: Park Place Dealerships, Kimrad Transport Inc., Bob and Bay Innamorati, Jay and Michelle Young of King Operating Corporation, Bob and Cheryl Beaudine, AeroComponents, Calvin and Kim Wallen, Bachendorf's, Medical Center of Arlington, Reliant Energy, Ozarka, and the Hilton Anatole. Media partners include FOX Sports Southwest, CBS 11/TXA 21, and ESPN Radio/ESPN Deportes 1540 AM.

Nolan Ryan DR PEPPER TEXAS RANGERS MID-WINTER BANQUET

OOn January 22, more than 1,400 fans celebrated the success of the 2010 American League Championship season and the 2010 Major and Minor League Award winners at the annual Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Mid-Winter Awards Banquet. The event was held at the Gaylord Texan and featured the presentation of the Texas Rangers Major and Minor League Awards and a special presentation of a Cadillac Beritz to Rangers Manager, Ron Washington. Washington had lost the original car in Hurricane Katrina and the Rangers worked to find one to replace it.


WELCOME HOME LUNCHEON
PRESENTED BY UNITED SERVICE ASSOCIATION FOR HEALTH CARE FOUNDATION


On March 31, nearly 650 Rangers fans welcomed home the defending American League Texas Rangers at the annual Welcome Home Luncheon, presented by the United Service Association for Health Care Foundation. The event was highlighted be the presentation of the first American League Championship rings to the family of former Arlington mayor and recently passed Tom Vandergriff and current Arlington Mayor Robert Cluck. FOX Sports Southwest's Dana Larson served as emcee of the event and John Rhadigan interviewed Rangers favorites about their feelings at the start of the season.


OZARKA TEXAS RANGERS ALUMNI LEGACY GOLF CLASSIC

Alumni Legacy Golf Classic Each year, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation hosts the annual Ozarka Texas Rangers Alumni Legacy Golf Classic. The tournament, normally in late summer-early fall, features Rangers alumni players and other celebrities. The 2011 Ozakra Texas Rangers Alumni Legacy Golf Classic took place on Monday, September 12 at the Texas Star Golf Course. Noted alumni participants included: Nolan Ryan, Jim Sundberg, Ferguson Jenkins, Charlie Hough, Toby Harrah, Tom Grieve, and many more. DR PEPPER TEXAS RANGERS HALL OF FAME LUNCHEON

On August 5, the Rangers honored the 2011 Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame Inductee, Kenny Rogers, during the Dr Pepper Texas Rangers Alumni Legacy Luncheon. Fans heard Kenny speak about his favorite moments as a Rangers pitcher and heard stories from other Rangers Hall of Famers including Nolan Ryan, Jim Sundberg, Fergie Jenkins, and Rusty Greer. On August 6, Kenny Rogers was inducted into the Texas Rangers Baseball Hall of Fame prior to that night's game against the Cleveland Indians.


IN-GAME AUCTIONS

TThe Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation provides fans with the opportunity to bid on collectible items during every home game on the main concourse near the Home Plate Gate inside Rangers Ballpark. Items include autographed baseballs, photographs, baseball bats, and more game-used items. The game auctions raised more than $330,000 in 2010 to help fund the Foundation's programs and charitable contributions. Help us raise more in 2011 by visiting our kiosk during every home game.


TEXAS RANGERS BASEBALL FOUNDATION MEMBERSHIPS

In 2009, for the first time, fans were given the opportunity to become members of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation family and help area children in need. For just $25, fans can purchase a baseball uniform for one child or pay for one child to participate in a day of Summer Academy. Help the Rangers help more kids by becoming a member today.
