The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation continued the sixth season of Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities (RBI) and Jr. RBI in North Texas. During the 2012 season over 2,000 youth across Dallas, Fort Worth and Arlington were given the opportunity to play baseball through support from the RBI program which is part of a larger Major League Baseball initiative to increase baseball participation in minority and lower income areas. The RBI programs in Dallas are operated through a partnership between the City of Dallas and Dallas ISD. In Arlington and Fort Worth, the RBI programs operate through the Boys and Girls Clubs. The Rangers Foundation also supports RBI Austin. RBI participants receive uniforms, equipment, and exclusive Rangers opportunities.
In May 2011, the Rangers Foundation launched a partnership with the just keep livin foundation (founded by Matthew and Camila McConaughey) and implemented the after-school program in three high schools in North Texas. The program takes place twice a week, two hours a week after school, and provides fitness, nutrition, and self-awareness activities. Students also participate in a variety of community service activities. The schools were chosen based on need, health of the students, and program's ability to change the wellness of the population. The schools participating in the just keep livin programs are Sam Houston High School in Arlington; Pinkston High School in Dallas; and Diamond Hill-Jarvis High School in Fort Worth.

The Texas Rangers and Medical Center Arlington continued its fitness program aimed to help Arlington fifth graders make healthy choices related to their diets. As part of the program students received fitness tips from MCA nutritionists as well as Rangers Captain, Arlington firefighters and Rangers players. Rangers pitcher Derek Holland serves as the program's spokesperson.

The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation provides grants to youth baseball and softball organizations to promote and support the sport across Texas Rangers territory.

Since 2005, the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and more specifically, the Texas Rangers Alumni Legacy program, have supported the Miracle League. The initial support was for the construction of the Doug Inman Miracle League Field at Randol Mill Park in Arlington. Each year since, alumni make many visits to games to support the league and the Texas Rangers host Miracle League Night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington each year for all of the participants. Each year, the Foundation also partners with Baseball Fantasy Camps, LLC to host a Fantasy Day for a wonderful Sunday of fun.
