Erick Aybar broke an 0-for-18 slide in the fifth inning with a solo shot for his first Major League career home run, and also got the Angels on the board. Dustin Moseley provided four scoreless innings for the Halos in a spot start, but the bullpen let him down against the Angels.
A.J. Murray, who made his debut as a starter, impressed with 4 1/3 scoreless innings against the Angels before allowing a solo homer, his only earned run of the game. After Ian Kinsler scored the tying run on a balk, the Rangers put up two more to ensure a series win.
