Rangers 13, Tigers 6
Vicente Padilla shut out the Tigers on only three hits over six innings. (Paul Sancya/AP)
By Tim Kirby / MLB.com
There's something about twin bills. After scoring a record 30 runs in the first half of a double dip in August, Texas tied a Comerica Park record by hitting seven home runs in the first half of a doubleheader with the Tigers. Marlon Byrd led the pack with two dingers, while Vicente Padilla stifled the Tigers with six shutout innings.
