Offense held down by 'pen
Rangers 7, Athletics 3
Bob Geren argues with umpire Angel Hernandez on a frustrating night. (Tony Gutierrez/AP)
 Scutaro's RBI single
The Rangers lost their starter after only two innings, but the A's were unable to break through against the Texas bullpen until the fifth inning. Shannon Stewart and Marco Scutaro both got RBIs in the frame, but it barely put a dent into a six-run lead for the Rangers as the A's went on to lose their second straight game to Texas.
