Alex Gordon knocked in two runs with a bases-loaded single in the first inning to lead the Royals to a series-opening victory over the Rangers. Zack Greinke threw five shutout innings and allowed just five hits to earn the win, while Ross Gload and Billy Butler added RBIs.
