Singles not enough in finale

The Mariners finished with the same number of hits as the Rangers, but all nine knocks were singles. Kenji Johjima had an RBI single in a two-run ninth, but it wasn't enough to leave with a win. Jarrod Washburn tossed six solid innings in defeat.
