Eighth is enough
Late rally wins finale
After starter Leo Nunez left in the midst of another quality outing with a thumb injury, the Royals found themselves in a 2-1 hole. But they would not go quietly as Alex Gordon tied the game with a homer in the seventh inning and a four-run rally won the game in the eighth.

Series at a glance:
'Pen falls apart in eighth
Texas got off on the right foot with Frank Catalanotto's leadoff dinger, and starter John Rheinecker held up his end of the bargain with 7 1/3 quality innings. But the bullpen wasn't able to hold its own, allowing a four-run rally with two outs in the eighth inning as the Rangers bid for a sweep ended with a loss to the Royals.
