Kyle Davies allowed four runs in five-plus innings before tiring in the sixth. Davies left in line for the win, but the bullpen could not hold the lead, surrendering a three-run shot to Gerald Laird, which proved the winning margin. Billy Butler tallied two hits and an RBI in the losing effort.
