Millwood still good
Davies takes tough loss
Kyle Davies allowed four runs in five-plus innings before tiring in the sixth. Davies left in line for the win, but the bullpen could not hold the lead, surrendering a three-run shot to Gerald Laird, which proved the winning margin. Billy Butler tallied two hits and an RBI in the losing effort.

Series at a glance:
Arms, bats in sync
Kevin Millwood was dominant and the Rangers bats provided enough offense for him to notch his eighth win. Millwood allowed just one earned run and struck out nine in seven innings of work. Michael Young hit a solo blast and Gerald Laird added a three-run shot in the win.
