Chad Gaudin was cruising until the fourth inning, when he allowed a three-run shot to Marlon Byrd. Mark Ellis tied the contest with a two-run homer in the sixth and finished a triple short of the cycle, but Gaudin allowed four more runs in the sixth during the loss.
