Seattle skid reaches six
Adrian Beltre tied it in the eighth with a two-run double and Raul Ibanez gave the Mariners a one-run lead with an RBI double, but J.J. Putz suffered his first blown save after 29 in a row as the Mariners were swept in the four-game set. Beltre had three hits and four RBIs, and Ichiro Suzuki had two hits.

Ramon Vazquez hit a two-run homer off Seattle closer J.J. Putz in the eighth inning to give the Rangers the lead and a sweep of the four-game series. Kenny Lofton added a two-run homer and an RBI single to help the offense. Joaquin Benoit gave up the lead in the eighth, but earned the win.
