Left-hander Horacio Ramirez's road struggles continued as he allowed eight runs on 11 hits in 4 2/3 innings to take the loss. The Mariners had an early two-run lead, but Ramirez couldn't hold it. Richie Sexson hit a three-run shot in the ninth to make it close. Jose Vidro had four hits and two RBIs.

Millwood earns victory By T.R. Sullivan / MLB.com
Sammy Sosa hit a two-run double and added a three-run homer to put the Rangers ahead to stay as part of a five-RBI night. Righty Kevin Millwood earned the victory, going 5 1/3 innings and allowing four runs on eight hits. Brad Wilkerson added a two-run shot.
