Byrd stymied by Byrd, but wins
Tribe puts it away early
Josh Barfield got the Indians on the board with a two-run single in the fourth and they wouldn't look back, as Paul Byrd retired the first 11 batters he faced. He allowed just three hits and two runs over 5 2/3 innings as the Indians held on late to take the series.

Series at a glance:
Tejeda faces too many jams
Robinson Tejeda got out of a few jams early, but ended up allowing three earned runs. Marlon Byrd was the only one to have very much success early on, starting a rally in the sixth inning in which the Rangers scored three runs, but they dropped the series finale.
