Biggio hits record double
Astros survive comebacks By Alyson Footer / MLB.com
Astros second baseman Craig Biggio's third hit of the night, his 658th career double, was momentous in two respects. It drove in the go-ahead run in the 10th inning, and it gave him the lead for doubles by a right-handed hitter. Biggio has 2,996 career hits.

Rangers' rallies fall short By T.R. Sullivan / MLB.com
Sammy Sosa hit a two-run single and Frank Catalanotto followed with a two-run homer to erase a four-run deficit in the eighth inning. After Houston went ahead again, Marlon Byrd and Ian Kinsler homered in the ninth to send it to extra innings, but the bullpen faltered again in the 10th.
