Kevin Millwood retired 12 of his last 13 batters and struck out 10, a season high for any Texas starter this year. The Rangers scored in all but three innings, putting up a 12-hit attack that saw multi-RBI performances by Michael Young, Marlon Byrd, Adam Melhuse and Victor Diaz.
Adam Dunn did his part to keep the Reds in the game, connecting on his 18th and 19th homers of the season, but Bronson Arroyo endured another shaky outing, giving up runs in all but one of his six innings of work. Arroyo has now gone eight starts without recording a victory.
