Geoff Jenkins put an end to a long night in Texas, hitting a three-run homer in the 12th. The Brewers had rallied from an early deficit, but sure-handed closer Francisco Cordero suffered his second straight blown save in the ninth. Prince Fielder and Craig Counsell also went deep.

Marlon Byrd had four hits and two RBIs, including a run-scoring single in the ninth that forced extra innings. Willie Eyre, the Rangers' seventh pitcher of the game, was unable to hold down the Brewers, allowing a decisive homer in the 12th. Michael Young contributed three RBI singles.
