Twins go home on high note

The Twins scored five runs in the first four innings en route to a victory over the Rangers in the finale of a nine-game road trip. Justin Morneau connected on his 14th home run of the season. Boof Bonser allowed two runs in five frames as he notched his third win of the year.

Right-hander Robinson Tejeda gave up five runs on seven hits and three walks over three-plus innings, and the Rangers went on to drop the rubber match to the Twins. Mark Teixeira knocked in two runs, while Frank Catalanotto delivered a pinch-hit RBI single, but Texas was unable to rally.
