Bartolo Colon struck out six on his way to securing his 12th straight start over the Rangers. The Angels provided plenty of run support early, including back-to-back RBI doubles by Orlando Cabrera and Vladimir Guerrero.

After giving up five early runs, the Rangers were unable to rally against the Angels on Saturday. First baseman Mark Teixeira belted a two-run homer, his fifth of the season, and Sammy Sosa drove in a run, but Texas' late-game efforts came up short.
