For four of the 5 1/3 innings Roy Halladay pitched on Saturday, the Jays ace was his normal self, allowing no runs on just two hits. But in the third inning and for a portion of the sixth, he was not the Cy Young pitcher hitters fear, allowing nine runs on 10 hits. Lyle Overbay hit his third home run of the season in the ninth inning.
For the second straight night, a Rangers starting pitcher allowed just one earned run in six innings en route to an easy win over the Toronto Blue Jays. On Saturday, it was Vicente Padilla, who allowed just six hits through seven innings. Michael Young continued his hot streak, going 3-for-5 with five RBIs in the win.
