With the Mets already ahead by a comfortable amount and Matt Harvey on the mound, Daniel Murphy decided to speak up to the coaches about the discomfort he was feeling in his left quad. He was removed from New York's 9-4 win over the Phillies in the third inning in what the Mets called a precautionary move. However, Murphy did not travel with the team to Miami on Wednesday night and was scheduled to be examined on the Mets' off-day Thursday.
