Young's stiff back isn't considered serious

BOSTON -- Rangers designated hitter Michael Young left in the eighth inning of Tuesday's 18-3 win over the Red Sox with some stiffness in his lower back. Young was removed as a precautionary measure and is expected to be in the lineup on Wednesday.

"He'll be fine," manager Ron Washington said. "He was just a little stiff so we got him out of there. We had the lead there. He'll be in there [Wednesday]."

Young was 1-for-4 with his second home run of the season. That came in the sixth inning -- his last at-bat before coming out. David Murphy pinch-hit for him in the eighth.
