Ryan, Sundberg team up for ALCS first pitch
Hall of Famer Jenkins will do the honors for Game 2 in Texas

Ryan pitched for the Rangers from 1989-93 in the final five seasons of his 27-year Major League career. He pitched two no-hitters for the Rangers, struck out his 5,000th batter and won his 300th game during those five years.Sundberg was with the Rangers at the beginning of his career from 1974-83 and again at the end from 1988-89. He was a three-time All-Star and six-time Gold Glove winner who currently ranks eighth all-time in games caught as a catcher. Ryan won a World Series as a member of the 1969 New York Mets, and Sundberg was the starting catcher for the Royals in 1985 when they won the World Series. Country music artist Stoney LaRue, who has appeared in concert at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, will sing the national anthem. In Game 2, Hall of Famer Ferguson Jenkins will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and Sundberg will once again be behind the plate.
