Rangers alter rotation to get set for playoffs

Lee pushed back to receive full five days' rest before Game 1

OAKLAND -- The Rangers rearranged their rotation for the final seven games of the regular season. They are trying to line up their pitching for the playoffs while getting key pitchers some extra rest.

C.J. Wilson is still starting on Monday against the Mariners, but he will be followed by Scott Feldman on Tuesday and Rich Harden on Wednesday.

Cliff Lee was supposed to pitch Tuesday, but he'll be pushed back to Thursday to face the Angels in the first of a four-game series. That will get him lined up to start Game 1 of the division series on five days' rest.

Derek Holland will pitch on Friday against the Angels, followed by Wilson on Saturday and Colby Lewis on Sunday. Wilson is scheduled to pitch Game 2 of the playoffs and Lewis is pitching Game 3.

Tommy Hunter is not scheduled to start this week, but he will be in the bullpen -- where he will likely be used during the first round of the playoffs, unless the Rangers need a fourth starter.
