Rangers conducting 'exit' interviews
GM, skipper want feedback, to give players offseason goals
By T.R. Sullivan / MLB.com
ARLINGTON -- Rangers manager Ron Washington and general manager Jon Daniels are currently going through the entire roster, trying to meet with every player before the season is over. These "exit" interviews also include appropriate position coaches, as well as strength and conditioning coach Jose Vazquez. "We just want to make them aware of what they need to improve on going into next season, what their goals are and what they feel they accomplished this season," Washington said. "What to expect from them next season. We get a chance to hear their feelings and express ours. During the course of the season, we don't always get that opportunity. It's not a bashing session. "We want their opinion on what they think going into next season. What they think we did wrong and what we can do right." Every interview is different depending on the player. But Washington said a common theme is relayed to all players. "We expect to be successful, and hopefully they can be a part of it," Washington said. "We want them guided in that direction."
