Hamilton missed Wednesday's game because of inflammation in his left knee, but his departure from Thursday's game had nothing to do with that.
Hamilton was hit in his at-bat in the the top of the first and went out on defense in the bottom of the inning. But he came out after just one inning and was taken for X-rays.
X-rays were negative and Hamilton is day-to-day.
Bradley was starting for the first time in eight games after being sidelined with a strained left quadriceps muscle. With no designated hitter in use, Bradley started in right field."When I walked up to him and asked if he was ready to go, he said without hesitation, 'I'm ready to go,'" manager Ron Washington. Bradley, who was 1-for-3 as a pinch-hitter in the past seven games, went into the game leading the American League with a .330 batting average, .624 slugging percentage and a .451 on-base percentage. Hamilton went into the game leading the league with 19 home runs and 76 RBIs.
