Tejeda sharp in final spring fling

Rangers right-hander throws five scoreless innings

Rangers at the plate: Ian Kinsler finished off a great spring by going 3-for-3 with two RBIs. He ended hitting .429 (27-for-63) with three home runs and 19 RBIs, the most by an American League player. Michael Young hit his first home run of the spring. Nelson Cruz provided the winning run with a one-out homer in the ninth.

Brewers at the plate: J.J. Hardy went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles and hit .310 for the spring. Johnny Estrada was 1-for-2 with a double. Prince Fielder was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Craig Counsell was 2-for-4 with an RBI and a run scored.

Rangers on the mound: Rangers starter Robinson Tejeda was outstanding on Saturday. He threw five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and a walk, in his last start of the spring. He will start on Friday against the Boston Red Sox in the home opener.

Brewers on the mound: Brewers fourth starter David Bush allowed two runs on seven hits in 3 2/3 innings. He did not walk a batter and struck out four. He is scheduled to start Friday against the Chicago Cubs.

Cactus League records: Rangers 16-11; Brewers 13-17.

Up next: The Brewers will work out at Miller Park from 2-3:30 p.m. CT on Sunday. The gates will open at 11 a.m. with autograph sessions beginning at noon. The Rangers will work out at 4 p.m. Sunday at Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
