Texas Rangers outfielder Milton Bradley and Chicago White Sox third baseman Joe Crede have been named the Bank of America Presents the American League Co-Players of the Week for the period ending June 8th. Bank of America, the Official Bank of Major League Baseball, is the presenting sponsor of the American League and National League Player of the Week Awards, which reflect the company's long-standing tradition of recognizing achievements that inspire us all to seize opportunities to perform at our very best.

Last week, Bradley hit .478 (11-23) with five home runs and nine RBI. The 29-year-old outfielder racked up 29 total bases, along with a 1.261 slugging percentage, three doubles and 12 runs scored. Bradley walked nine times, stole four bases and posted a .647 on-base percentage in seven games. During a four-game series against the Cleveland Indians from June 2nd-5th, Bradley went 7-for-13 with four home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI, including a multi-homer game on June 3rd. On June 7th, the Harbor City, California native went 2-for-5 with a home run and two RBI against the Tampa Bay Rays. On the season, Bradley is batting .340 with 14 home runs and 43 RBI. This marks the first career weekly award honor for Milton Bradley.

Crede hit .611 (11-18) with two doubles, four home runs and 12 RBI. The 30-year-old third baseman compiled 28 total bases, along with an A.L.-high 1.556 slugging percentage and nine runs scored. During a three-game weekend series against the A.L. Central-rival Minnesota Twins, Crede went 8-for-12 with seven runs scored, four home runs and 10 RBI. He became the first White Sox player to hit two home runs in back-to-back games since Greg Norton did it on May 27-28, 1999. Crede is hitting .295 with 14 home runs and 41 RBI for the season. This marks Joe's third career weekly award (previously won: 9/1/2002 & 6/26/2006).

Others considered were Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Drew (.500, 1.083 SLG, 3 2B, 1 3B, 3 HR, 7 RBI), New York Yankees outfielder Johnny Damon (.563, .750 SLG, 2 2B, 2 3B, 6 RBI) and Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim closer Francisco Rodriguez (5 saves, 5.0 IP, 6 SO).

Tourneau, the world's largest watch store, will present both Milton Bradley and Joe Crede with luxury Swiss Tourneau timepieces, suitably engraved, in recognition of their achievements as players of the week.
