Texas Rangers recall LHP John Rheinecker from Triple-A Oklahoma
Place LHP Brian Shouse on the 15-day disabled list

ARLINGTON, Tex. -- Texas Rangers General Manager Jon Daniels announced today the club has recalled LHP John Rheinecker from Triple-A Oklahoma and placed LHP Brian Shouse on the 15-day disabled list with a strained right calf.

Rheinecker, 26, was acquired in a trade with the Oakland Athletics along with INF Freddie Bynum for RHP Juan Dominguez on March 31, 2006. Went 0-1, 5.87 ERA (10 ER, 15 1/3 IP) with one walk and 10 strikeouts over 3 appearances/starts for the Oklahoma RedHawks.

Shouse, 37, made 6 appearances, all in relief, with a record of 0-0, 4.15 ERA (2 ER, 6 1/3 IP) with 3 strikeouts this season.

With these moves, the Rangers still have 39 players on the club's 40-man roster.
