Bill Russell, widely considered one of the best players in the history of the National Basketball Association, and a long-time Seattle resident, is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Mariners take on the Baltimore Orioles (1:10pm start).

    The 10th Annual Stitch 'n Pitch, which started at Safeco Field in 2005 and has spread across Major League Baseball, returns on Thursday, July 24, when the Mariners take on the Baltimore Orioles. Game time is 7:10 p.m. Stitch 'n Pitch is once again presented by Pacific Fabrics & Crafts.

  • Stilly Valley Community Day at Safeco Field

    Saturday, July 26, when the Seattle Mariners meet the Baltimore Orioles (1:10pm first pitch), will be Stilly Valley Community Day at Safeco Field. The Mariners will pay tribute to the volunteers, first-responders and community members who were all deeply affected by the devastating March 22 mudslide along the Stillaguamish River between Arlington and Darrington. Forty-three people died and many residents of Oso lost their homes.
