    The St. Louis Cardinals today have optioned last night's starter Marco Gonzales to Memphis (Triple-A) and recalled two left-handed pitchers - Tyler Lyons and Nick Greenwood - and right-handed pitcher Miguel Socolovich, all from Memphis. Lyons will make the start tonight against Washington at 7:15 p.m. CDT.

  • Cardinals add three players on the first day rosters expand

    The St. Louis Cardinals have recalled three players today to join the team during September when Major League teams are allowed to expand their rosters. Left-handed pitcher Marco Gonzales, right-handed pitcher Mitch Harris and catcher Cody Stanley have been recalled from Memphis (AAA) and will be available for tonight's game.
