Rangers at the plate: Josh Hamilton had two hits, one a three-run home run in the third inning. He now has six home runs and 25 RBIs in 23 games. Michael Young has a nine-game hitting streak.

Giants at the plate: Pablo Sandoval continues to tear up the Cactus League. He was 2-for-5 with three RBIs against the Rangers. He is now hitting .456 with 15 RBIs for the spring. Andres Torres hit his second home run of the spring off Jason Jennings in the sixth.

Rangers on the mound: Matt Harrison, in his last start in Arizona, gave up five runs in the second inning and was taken out of the game. Harrison said he just couldn't find the strike zone. He ended up throwing two scoreless innings in a Minor League game just to get all his work in for the day. Jason Jennings impressed with three innings of one-run ball.

Giants on the mound: Barry Zito turned in his longest outing of the spring, allowing three runs in seven innings. He allowed six hits, did not walk a batter and struck out two. He has a 3.50 ERA in his last three starts.

Cactus League records: Rangers 18-13; Giants 18-17

Up next: Doug Mathis will pitch at 2:05 p.m. CT Wednesday against the Angels in Tempe. Kevin Millwood is expected to do his work in a Minor League game back in Surprise. The Angels will likely do the same. Shane Loux will do his work in a Minor League game and Matt Palmer will start for the Angels.

The Giants finish Cactus League play on Wednesday with a 1:05 p.m. PT game against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers. Jonathan Sanchez is the scheduled starter, but he burned the index finger on his throwing hand and may be scratched. Right-hander Hiroki Kuroda will start for Los Angeles. The teams have split their two exhibition encounters. They play again Sunday in San Francisco.
