Giants at the plate: First baseman John Bowker hit an RBI double to center in the fourth inning. He finished 2-for-3 with a walk. Juan Uribe went 2-for-3, including an RBI single to left field, also in the fourth, to push the Giants ahead 2-0. Ryan Rohlinger and Buster Posey came home in the seventh inning to tie the game at 4.
Rangers at the plate: Michael Young hit a triple in the fourth inning and scored on a single by Hank Blalock for the club's first run. Young and Blalock each went 1-for-3. Chris Davis and Jarrod Saltalamacchia each scored a run for the Rangers. David Murphy hit a solo home run, his second homer of the spring, in the sixth inning.Giants on the mound: Giants starter Joe Martinez gave up one run on three hits in 3 2/3 innings. He walked one batter and recorded two strikeouts during the 47-pitch outing. Jeremy Affeldt gave up two runs (one earned) on three hits in one inning in relief.
Rangers on the mound: Rangers starter Scott Feldman allowed one hit in three scoreless innings. He walked two hitters during the 46-pitch outing. Feldman's replacement, Brendan Donnelly, was charged with two runs on three hits in one inning. He struck out one of the five hitters he faced. Luis Mendoza followed Donnelly and gave up one run in two innings. He was removed from the game with a blister on his right middle finger in the seventh.
Up next: The Rangers are off Wednesday and resume play Thursday against the Mariners at Peoria, Ariz. Brandon McCarthy will take the mound for Texas. The Giants will face Japan in a World Baseball Classic exhibition game at Scottsdale Stadium. Tim Lincecum will take the mound for the Giants.
