Mariners at the plate: Second baseman Willie Bloomquist had his seven-game hitting streak end, going 0-for-4, but he stole two bases and scored a run. Third baseman Adrian Beltre went 1-for-3, a sixth-inning double.

Rangers at the plate: Brad Wilkerson hit his first home run of the spring, a two-run shot to left-center field with two outs in the sixth. Center fielder Jerry Hairston Jr. put the Rangers ahead to stay with an RBI single in the fifth inning and singled again in the seventh.

Mariners on the mound: Left-hander Horacio Ramirez became the first starter to go five innings and extended his scoreless inning streak to 11 innings before surrendering two runs in the fifth. Right-handed reliever Renee Cortez pitched a scoreless eighth inning.

Rangers on the mound: Right-hander Kevin Millwood made his first start in a Cactus League game this spring, allowing two hits and one run over four innings. Right-handed reliever Kameron Loe, contending for a spot in the rotation, worked five innings, surrendering one hit.

Up next: The Mariners make a short road trip, traveling about 15 miles to face the Brewers in Maryvale.
