This Day in Baseball History:
March 23, 1959 > The San Francisco Giants clear space for future superstars Orlando Cepeda and Willie McCovey by trading first baseman Bill White to the St. Louis Cardinals. Cepeda had won the National League Rookie of the Year Award in 1958, and McCovey will follow in his footsteps by taking home the trophy in 1959.
