July 27, 1968 > Denny McLain of the Detroit Tigers earns his 20th victory of the season in a 9-0 shutout of the Baltimore Orioles. McLain will go on to win an amazing 31 games -- becoming the last pitcher to crack the 30-win mark -- and walk away with the American League Cy Young Award.
