Tampa Will Host David Price Day
There are plenty of perks that come with winning the Cy Young Award: a place in MLB history, the hardware itself, national exposure, increased value in the marketplace, media appearances. The list goes on and on. And, if you win the award in Tampa, you get the key to the city and your own official holiday.
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports that 2012 AL Cy Young winner David Price will be given the key to the city of Tampa next Tuesday, which the city will honor as "David Price Day." It's good to be a Cy Young winner.
