Indians announce April 7 game vs. Red Sox rescheduled for Monday, Aug. 15



The Indians April 7 postponed game between the Indians and Red Sox has been rescheduled on a mutual off day on Monday, August 15 at 1:10PM.

Tickets dated Thursday, April 7 are valid for the August 15 rescheduled game. Those fans wishing to attend the rescheduled game do not need to exchange their tickets; they simply can enter Progressive Field with their ticket dated April 7.

Fans who purchased tickets at Indians.com or at the Progressive Field Ticket Office or Team Shop who do not want to attend the makeup game vs. the Red Sox on August 15 can exchange their tickets for one of two games: Thursday, May 5 vs. Detroit or Tuesday, May 17 vs. Cincinnati.

Those exchanges can be made beginning Monday, April 18 at 10AM; the exchanges must be made by Friday, April 29. See information below on how to exchange based on method of original purchase.

Additional notes: Tickets purchased through StubHub and third-party vendors are valid for the August 15th game only and are not extended additional exchange opportunities. Suites, Groups and Infiniti Club patrons will be contacted individually by a member of the Cleveland Indians.

The August 15 rescheduled game will be broadcast on SportsTime Ohio, WTAM 1100 and the Indians Radio Network.



Note on ticket exchanges: Seating is subject to availability. Inventory may become limited for certain games and locations.

Season Tickets

If the postponed game above is part of your Season Ticket Plan, these tickets must be exchanged online through My Indians Tickets by April 22nd, 2016 for one of the designated dates. If postponed ticket is not exchanged within given deadline, it will appear as an unused ticket in the normal Ticket Exchange process through Tribe Rewards. Please note that exchanges through Tribe Rewards are subject to the normal points redemption process.

Single Game Tickets

  • Tickets purchased by Phone or on Indians.com will receive an email with further details on how to exchange for one of the designated dates, if necessary. Exchanges must occur online through My Indians Tickets.
  • Tickets Purchased at the Progressive Field Box Office or Progressive Field Team Shop can be exchanged if necessary for one of the designated games. The exchange must take place at the Progressive Field Box Office.
  • District Tickets can be exchanged if necessary for one of the designated games. The exchange must take place at the Progressive Field Box Office.
  • Tickets purchased at a Progressive Field Ticket Kiosk can be exchanged if necessary for one of the designated games. The exchange must take place at the Progressive Field Box Office.

Group Tickets

Our Group Sales Representatives will reach out to each Group Leader with further details. Please contact your Group Leader for additional details.

Suite and Infiniti Club Tickets

You will be contacted by a member of the Premium Hospitality Staff with further details.

StubHub and Third Party Vendor Tickets

Tickets purchased through Stub Hub and other Third Party vendors are eligible to exchange for the rescheduled game only.

Following policy applies when game is:

  1. Rescheduled to an open day
  2. Day/Night Split Doubleheader(two separate games on the same date)
  • All tickets are valid as is for the rescheduled game. You will need your ticket for entrance to the rescheduled game.
  • All seat locators do not need to be saved. You can scan your ticket or smartphone at the gate for entry to the rescheduled game.
  • In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled game, you may EXCHANGE your ticket to one of two designated games during the same season.
  • Full or Partial Season Tickets can be exchanged for another game if necessary to one of two designated games during the same season. The exchange must take place online through My Indians Tickets, by a specified date. If postponed ticket is not exchanged within given deadline, it will appear as an unused ticket in the normal Ticket Exchange process through Tribe Rewards. Please note that exchanges through Tribe Rewards are subject to the normal points redemption process.
  • Suite tickets are valid for the makeup game. In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled game, please contact your Indians Premium Representative.
  • The Infiniti Club tickets are valid for the makeup game. In the event you cannot attend the rescheduled game, please contact your Indians Premium Representative.

  1. Rescheduled to a Traditional Doubleheader(two games for the price of one)
  2. The Postponed Game is not Rescheduled
  • Full or Partial Season Tickets can be exchanged for a ticket that is valid to both doubleheader games subject to availability. If the game is rescheduled for the same homestand, exchange must take place at the Progressive Field Box Office. If the game is rescheduled for a future homestand, exchanges must be made online through My Indians Tickets. Those unable to attend the designated doubleheader date will be eligible to exchange for select future dates through My Indians Tickets, or through their Tribe Rewards account.
  • Group Tickets can be exchanged for a ticket that is valid to both doubleheader games, based on availability, by contacting a Group Sales Representative at 216-420-HITS.
  • Ticket buyers who purchased by Phone or on Indians.com can exchange tickets for tickets that are valid to both doubleheader games at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for a future game, if necessary. An email will be sent with further details on how to exchange for a one of two designated dates, if necessary.
  • Tickets Purchased at the Progressive Field Box Office or Cleveland Indians Team Shops can be exchanged for the doubleheader in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games, if necessary.
  • District Tickets can be exchanged for the double header in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games if necessary, subject to availability.
  • Tickets purchased at a Progressive Field Ticket Kiosk can be exchanged for the doubleheader in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games, if necessary.
  • Tickets purchased through StubHub can be exchanged for the doubleheader in person at the Progressive Field Box Office, or may exchange for one of two designated games, if necessary.
  • Tickets purchased through other third-party vendors are valid only for makeup games scheduled for new dates (including doubleheaders). Tickets purchased through other third-party vendors cannot be used for additional exchange dates.
